APSENA is one of the oldest Pakistani American organization,formed in 1983 by the Pakistani American professionals while visiting Islamabad. Its membership, activities, services and contributions have grown steadily. It has been active in most major cities of the United States. Most Pakistani Americans join APSENA out of their burning desire to help Pakistan. APSENA enjoys a tremendous name recognition as the paramount technical and business organization of Pakistani Americans and has a established rack record.

Mission
Strive to not only increase the contributions of scientists, engineers and technology professionals of Pakistani origin residing in North America to industry and technology in North America, but also to assist and disseminate knowledge to the developing countries, in general, and to the country of their origin, in particular, for the development of peaceful industry and technology in those countries through support and assistance from legal and appropriate entities and by initiating ways and means to foster and encourage cooperation with and among Pakistani American scientists, engineers and industry & technology professionals residing in North America.
President's Goals 2011-2012
- Strengthen the professional competence and standing of members through networking.
- Identify opportunities in academics, professional services, industry and technology in US and in Pakistan.
- Plan the biennial conference in Pakistan.
- Strive to have all ten US regions populated, energized and led by a team.
- Establish and promote regional activities.
- Develop and execute a plan for the foreign divisions.
- Develop a plan for key organizational activities such as workshops, seminars, and conferences.
- Develop plan for a performance based organization.
- Centralize the organization that provides consistent services with measurable results.
- Expand membership in the organization.
- Develop a plan for practical and tangible benefits for the members.
- Organize the membership list according to expertise and special interest areas.
- Develop and implement a strong program for students in Pakistan.
- Active follow up.
- Establish student chapters to provide a constant influx of new personnel and ideas.
- Improve the website to be complete, robust and an active virtual resource.
- Have active presence of ASPENA on social networks.
- Search for grants and arrange fundraising activities.
- Develop a long term business plan that may include a constant source of income for the organization.
- Disseminate information in a timely manner.
- Re-establish and increase channels of communications with the counterparts in Pakistan.
- Establish and improve relationships with other organizations with similar aspirations.
