Architects/Mech/Elect engineering openings in CA

We have a major project requiring filling positions for Architects, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers with the following minimum experience:

  • Excellent working knowledge in Revit (This is a MUST) and AutoCad
  • Degree in the field
  • 2-8 years of US experience
  • Rail stations experience is a plus.

The work will be out of AVA Oakland and/or Los Angeles offices.  We offer the normal benefits package and competitive compensation.

Vice Chancellor of Administration and Finance

South Louisiana Community College, is seeking strategically focused, visionary candidates for the position of Vice Chancellor of Administration and Finance. Answering directly to the Chancellor this challenging position serves as the chief financial officer, responsible for an operating budget and encompassing all segments of the campus. In addition to active oversight, analysis and implementation of the campus budget, the Vice Chancellor also provides management to six campus departments: Facilities, Business Office, Human Resources, Security, Property, and Information Technology.

The ideal candidate approaches this position with the relevant experience of a seasoned chief financial officer as well as skill as an effective interpersonal manager with a history of workforce development and team leadership. The university seeks an independent thinker with skills to navigate within a complex, multi-constituent organization who is decisive while fair. Key selection criteria include:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field. CPA or MBA preferred. Five years of senior level management experience, preferably in an institution of higher education. Knowledge of higher education accounting and financial reporting. Ability to work with a wide range of constituencies, including students, faculty, administrators, and public officials; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Industrial Engineer - Atlanta, GA

Dynamic, global, strong-growth company. The Industrial Engineer will support and create processes and activities within the functional area, and works with the Engineering staff to support the development of new business and maintenance of current businesses. Participates as a team member on large projects and/or leads smaller scope engineering projects. This is part of an "Engineer Development Program" company-wide.

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving process performance in assembly, test and assembly areas. Develops performance standards, establish the departmental engineering and documentation standards, identifies the customer needs (internal or external) and contract requirements. Develops project cost estimates, projected schedules, and resource requirements, and manages them throughout the project. Works with the Engineering Leadership to assist the development of engineering, product and platform design and performance parameters, technical documentation, and subcontractor specifications.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BSIE or BSME) and 2-5 years experience in a large engineering environment. An MBA would be a plus. Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification is a plus. Knowledge of manufacturing & distribution capabilities, process improvements focus, work station layout, project costing methods, assembly procedures, bill of material structure, and computer skills required, including proficiency with Microsoft Project. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and experience applying Demand Flow is a plus.
